MGS Library

The Middlesex Genealogical Society maintains a small research library at the Darien Library. The MGS collection is located in the far right hand corner of the main reading room on the second floor of the Darien Library. The MGS collection is interspersed with the Darien Library's own genealogical collection.

The MGS Librarian is Charles Scribner. In 2009, he prepared an inventory of the combined holdings of MGS and the Darien Library: 2009 Inventory.

The Society has a subscription to Ancestry.com which is available to members on a dedicated computer at the Darien Library.

The Society publishes a quarterly Newsletter and has from time to time issued its own Publications.

The Darien Library has a number of genealogical resources in addition to its book collection: Genealogy Resources of the Darien Library, including HeritageQuest, which can be accessed from your home computer.

Volunteers are available, by appointment, to help with research problems, or just to get you started.
